Easi-Detect blood stool test kit detects hidden blood in the stool (an early warning sign of colorectal cancer)

 

Easi Detect™ is the simplest home test available to detect occult (hidden) blood in the stool, an early warning sign of colorectal cancer.  The product is sanitary, requiring no stool handling, and has no dietary restrictions.  The Easi Detect™ pad is dropped into the toilet after a bowel movement and if blood is present in the stool, the pad will turn a blue-green colour within two minutes.  Blood in stool may be caused by irritated polyps that have formed in the colon.  The blood disperses onto the surface of the toilet water, where it is detected by the Easi Detect™ pad. If a positive result occurs, a physician appointment should be schedule as soon as possible.  Blood in the stool can also signify less serious problems such as hemorrhoids, diverticulitis or bleeding ulcers but it is important to determine the exact cause.
